  • Abstract
The load model used in power system analysis, computation and control should be both accurate and simple. But the accuracy and simplicity often contradict each other, so that we have to make compromises between them. This paper describes a simplified practical model for composite loads. It is recognized that the simultaneous parameter estimation of the model is difficult. Therefore, a sequential parameter estimation method is developed. The estimation results of both theoretical simulations and tests are reported
