  • Abstract
    In connection with a systematic analysis and optimization of the hybrid absorber of conical TEM waveguides (like the GTEM cell), a new cell concept based on ferrite absorber tiles and called FRCTEM cell is introduced. Improvements in the reflection factor in contrast to the classical GTEM cell were made as well as the suppression of the longitudinal E-field intensity is demonstrated. Furthermore, the authors´ GTEM cell was simulated to compare the results with the measurements
