  • Abstract
Input output buffer information specification (IBIS) has become the de-facto standard for providing the input/output device characteristics, using V/I and V/T data without disclosing any circuit or process information. One of the major requirements for IBIS Version3.2 is to support nonlinear sampling of the points in V/T characteristics to retain accuracy. In this paper, the usage of Douglas-Peucker (DP) algorithm to accomplish the V/T characteristics is proposed in detail. The technique has been tried on real-life models and the results are extremely positive.
