Abstract
This paper presents a harmonic injection technique that enhances the performance of a 12-pulse voltage-sourced rectifier that has its DC outputs connected in parallel, to obtain line input currents that are characteristic of a 24-pulse rectifier. The injection technique can be implemented by passive or active means. The technique is analysed and simulated for both its active and passive implementations in a 12-pulse system based on a star/delta transformer. Subsequently, the active implementation is evaluated experimentally using an interleaved boost output stage
