Abstract
This work describes a remote oscillography system using computer networks. The remote oscillography is achieved by a pair of proposed protocols: Real Time Instrumentation Stream Protocol (RTISP) and Real Time Monitoring and Controlling Protocol (RTMCP). The Real Time Instrumentation Stream Protocol allows oscillographics analysis of samples acquired remotely at real time by remote stations through a packet network. Many remote stations can be simultaneously used to perform samples acquisition in different places. The system uses a time synchronization mechanism which accuracy can be used to determine a precise time of each sampling without the necessity of GPS in the remote stations. This mechanism is emphasized in this work. Tests have shown that the synchronization mechanism allows accuracy better than lOOus in the Internet.
