Abstract :
The rigorous solution of the interaction of amplitude-modulated plane waves with planar and spherical stratified obstacles formed by lossy dispersive dielectrics is presented. Some particular cases of interest for the study of the interaction of pulsed fields and biological tissue phantoms are considered. The problem of the energy deposition is presented including some discussion about the use of the absorption rate concept.
