  • Abstract
The development of the microwave different beam current multiple-regime TWT amplifier includes the developmental work of an electron gun with low voltage control. The current interception by slow wave structure in the different TWT amplifier regimes depends on the value of varying current in the electron gun. Earlier (Morev, 2000) the ways of decreasing of high values of body current in TWT with control electrode modulation were discussed. However in (Morev, 2000) the TWT with relatively low beam intensity (microperveance Pmu = 0.3 muA/V 3/2) and convergence (square compression less then 30) was considered. In this report the different approaches to the development of the intense electron beam gun (microperveance Pmu = 1.0 - 1.3 muA/V3/2) with high convergence (square compression more then 50) are presented
