Abstract :
A method has been developed at CPI to concurrently measure barium evolution rate and emission from dispenser cathodes to characterize behavior, to investigate fundamental cathode mechanisms and to diagnose performance issues. This technique is useful both as a screening method and as an overall evaluation of cathode performance
