  • Abstract
In this paper, we calculate the parameters of typical transverse magnetic (TM) modes of microwave cavity; the fundamental modes (FM) and higher order modes (HOM). Calculations show that the TM 010 mode of cylindrical cavity has an advantage of high characteristic impedance and drawback of small cavity size, and the TM 010 and TM 310 in cylindrical coaxial cavities have advantages of large cavity cross-section and some nearly equal parameters as Q-factor, frequency F and characteristic impedance Z. The results show agreement with the simulations
