Abstract :
Nowadays, in the view of growing concern regarding harmonic distortion in distribution networks, power supplies with power factor correction are required. Circuit topology proposed in this paper can be implemented in AC/DC converters to reduce input current distortion. Having simple topology it is particularly useful in power supplies where output constant power is advantage (battery charging) and where frequent output short-circuits take place, e.g., in power supplies for electric arc
