Abstract
Sigma-delta modulation control of multi-level voltage source inverters are studied through simulation. Investigations show that multi-level sigma-delta modulators can be used to control such inverters via simple logic interfaces. Moreover, a multi-level inverter can be embedded into the sigma-delta loop. This approach can address the problems associated with divisional voltage deregulation in multi-level inverters
