Abstract :
A microwave vacuum oscillator based upon parametric instability of linear electron oscillators in electromagnetic field of higher modes of open resonators (OR), having phase inversion along the electrons trajectories is suggested. The instability takes place for even harmonics of electron oscillations frequency in parabolic well. OR field increment was obtained and studied. Computer simulation of the OR field dynamics allowed to study time dependences of the OR field energy for various sets of main parameters. A new device may be applied for generation of terahertz electromagnetic signals
