Abstract :
In this paper, we propose two different channel selection algorithms based on interference alignment (IA) scheme in multiple-input multiple-out (MIMO) interfering broadcast channels where there exists inter-cell interference. Our first proposed algorithm is the maximization of the sum rate by selecting the ICI channels in a brute force fashion. While our first proposed algorithm is optimal in the sense of the sum rate, it requires very high computational complexity. Our second proposed algorithm is the channel selection algorithm based on the signal-to-interference plus noise ratio (SINR) which is sub-optimal in the sum-rate but requires lower complexity than the first proposed scheme. Simulation results demonstrate that our proposed algorithms can offer significant sum rate improvement compared to the conventional time division multiple access (TDMA) with the multi-user MIMO technique such as block diagonalization (BD).
