Abstract
This paper presents an error driven nonlinear PI control for electric vehicle propulsion systems, using AC drives, to adapt their essential time-variant characteristics. The proposed method can improve the system on both dynamic and steady state performances, making the systems robust and adaptive in nature. The computer simulation results and the preliminary experiment tests are presented. The stability analysis for this controller using Lyapunov´s second method is given
