Activity-centered design for temporal data management

With our interviews, we found that professors need to organize and use fine-grained information from diverse sources and formats in their everyday tasks, such as taking a meeting, hosting a project and etc. Although there is a bunch of computer applications and devices which can help them easily manage all these cross-media information, professors are still often confused about reviewing their old information as time goes on. In this paper, we present activity-centered learning design, a meaningful structure for task information, to assist professors with their present and future teaching tasks. We also illustrate a prototype of the Activity construct from the end-user´s perspective.
