Abstract :
In this paper the eigenfrequencies of the convex piezoelectric resonator of the ellipsoid shape with an arbitrary orientation of the ellipsoid axes with respect to the self-axes of the piezoelectric crystal is analysed. As an essential result of the studies, we show that the frequency spectrum of the resonator strongly depends on the anisotropy of the piezoelectric surface. It needs to be remarked that such the anisotropy involves additional parameters (unlike the case of the spherical model of the resonator) to adjust the spectrum of the resonator and, thus, the model is more flexible. On the other hand, the additional parameters make possible achieving much more optimized spectral performance of the resonator
