SMC methods: A review and discussion

Motivated by example problems arising in energy, environment and service systems, the panelists will review those systems, man and cybernetics methods that are essential in dealing with these problems. The focus will be on new model-based and computational techniques, including approaches concerned with systems of systems, conflict resolution and adaptive real-time decision making. Although the organizers will initially serve as panel presenters, it is expected that they will also act as facilitators in an ensuing discussion among conference attendees who are cordially invited to participate in this specially organized panel.
