Abstract
Ecodesign education for Industrial Design Engineering students plays an important role to provide future engineers with sufficient background and capabilities to apply Ecodesign in their daily work. Since 10 years the Design for Sustainability (DfS) program at Delft University for Technology (DUT) provides to all the Industrial Design Engineering students, the course "Introduction to Ecodesign". Because of a growing interest and demand for sustainability related courses by the students, four new elective Design for Sustainability courses have been introduced recently. Parallel to this development the courses have been under transition towards Internet Based Education. Up to now, the Internet Based Ecodesign courses have been evaluated positively by the students and staff because of its flexibility, problem based learning approach, easy access to relevant information on the Internet and timesavings. Besides the Internet creates the opportunity to share the developed Ecodesign course materials with other universities worldwide in for example developing countries
