  • Abstract
It is with great pleasure and privilege that we are organising the 1st Workshop at WICSA on Architecting Cloud Computing Applications and Systems. Cloud Computing is a popular topic in the IT industry right now, it is timely that we have the opportunity to share research results and practitioner experiences at WICSA, particularly focusing on the various issues related to the enterprise consumer perspective of cloud computing, where adoption is still nascent, and many software architecture research challenges remain. Our workshop agenda in this first year will address topics such as architectural styles for multi-tenant systems, assessing cloud platforms technical benefits for application development, modeling and reasoning design alternatives of software-as-a-service architectures, and engineering preprioception in SLA management for cloud architectures. We hope this will be the first of a successful series of workshops on Architecting Cloud Computing Applications at WICSA.
