Message from the Chairman

Welcome to San Diego and the tenth annual IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference. The objective of the IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference (PESO is to bring together in a continuing forum and various specialists in electron devices, magnetics, control theory, instrumentation, circuits, systems, and power engineering for inter-specialty discussions of new ideas, research, development, and applications in the field of power electronics???that field of electrical and electronic engineering where significant amounts of electrical power flow through, or are controlled by, electronic devices. Sponsored by the Aerospace and Systems Society, each year´s conference is co-sponsored or held in cooperation with other IEEE societies. This year´s conference is held with the cooperation of the Electron Devices Society, Magnetics Society, Industrial Control and Instrumentation Society, Circuits and Systems Society, and Power Engineering Society and is co-sponsored by the Region 6 San Diego Section.
