  • Abstract
This paper presents an automatic airport check-in KIOSK system. This work is done collaboratively by four subsystems, which are Airline Reservation, Credit Card Verification, KIOSK and Customer Command Input, in an action interactive manner. To reduce the risks or issues that often occur in complicated systems, a Four Subsystems in Parallel (FSIP) method has been proposed. Customers can benefit generality and extensibility from this structure, for new functions of actions can be added or removed to modify and configure the network system with little or no need to change the control structure of this KIOSK. From simulation results, we can obtain the time having been used by each stage during the whole system implementation. Without doubt, these details of time intervals are important and significant on system optimization. For this paper, the creative invention is that FSIP method has the potential to be a standard of self-service KIOSK structure design in future. The great success of this design is, for such a complicated system structure, we can avoid any risk warning in any simulation experiment.
