Abstract :
In this paper a design of an antenna for passive UHF RFID tags is presented. Tag with proposed antenna designed for identification objects in presence of metal surfaces is characterized by increased read range and higher efficiency as compared with typically used RFID tags for this purpose. Longrange antenna was simulated and experimentally investigated. In accordance with the results of measurement a RFID tag using proposed antenna can be successfully identified at the distance up to 14 m.
