Abstract :
In this paper, we proposed an approach based on retinex image enhancement method to obtain refined 3-D models with detailed wrinkles and texture. A radially distributed camera system which is able to capture facial geometry with seven cameras is utilized to obtain face models for our refinement process. The results with the use of the images of these cameras in only RGB space and together with retinex image versions are compared and experimental results showed that the proposed method produces more realistic 3-D models.
