  • Abstract
Interior permanent magnet machines are gaining more importance due to their advantages of cost optimized fabrication and the ability to use the reluctancy torque. A drawback of the interior permanent magnet machine is the more complex control structure than for synchronous machines having the magnets on the rotor surface. Therefore an optimized control structure has been developed and simulated to assure high energy conversion efficiency and oscillation suppressing step response behavior.
