  • Abstract
    Focusing on strong information dependencies among tasks in collaborative design, the concept of hierarchy weighted directed graph was raised for design process modeling, and the dependency propagation algorithms were defined in the condition of propagation attenuation. Then interpretative structure model in social and economic field was introduced and improved with matrix algorithm and tearing algorithm to execute process planning. In the end a prototype tool was developed with Matlab GUI, and an example of plane assembling fixture process planning was provided to validate the effectiveness of this method.
