Abstract :
Characteristics of TE plane-wave scattering from large number of grooves in a conducting plane are approximately obtained with Green´s functions and Floquet modes. Scattering equations based on the multiple and infinite rectangular grooves are also proposed in terms of the overlapping T-block method. Multiple rectangular grooves are divided into several overlapping T-blocks and one source block. Utilizing the Floquet´s theorem, the solutions of multiple rectangular grooves are extended to those of infinite rectangular grooves. Combining the analyses of multiple and infinite rectangular grooves gives approximate and numerically efficient scattering equations.
