Abstract :
The paper takes into account the experimental dependence of the differential resistance of the Zener diodes on the current. Considering logarithmic coordinates, the dependence has a linear form with a slope less than unity, that invalidates the exponential model-the most encountered model in Spice. As consequence a new model for the regulation region of the Zener diode is derived. The new model is described by a parabolic-law equation
