Abstract
The author introduces a novel object detection and recognition method using simple geometric primitives as building blocks of complex shaped objects. The method yields a robust recognition scheme and requires only two descriptors to characterize any object of the considered set. This results in an efficient database structure that allows addition of objects or rules in a straightforward fashion
