Abstract :
In this paper, the authors propose a new modeling approach to describe a squirrel cage induction machine using object oriented methodology. Our goal is to provide a simulation kernel that generates automatically electrical parameters matrices (resistance, inductance and mutuals matrix). This approach is mainly based on decomposing the induction motor into elementary objects that abstract real world components´ behavior and interactions. Thus we provide a generic induction motor simulation toolbox (IMST) including a set of basic modeling objects and a simulator kernel. Our model has been validated by comparing data supplied by simulator to those measured on a real faulty squirrel cage induction motor
