  • Abstract
    In this paper the open-ended dielectrically filled waveguide as the original individual radiator of the wideband antenna array with the beam steering plusmn50deg is presented. Both the electric and magnetic dipoles are analyzed as the candidates of the aforementioned waveguide exciter. The characteristics of the optimized individual radiator included in the antenna array consisting of sixteen elements are analyzed. This antenna array guarantees beam steering plusmn50deg and the side lobes level less than -10 dB. The experimental radiation patterns and S11 parameters are discussed.
