Abstract :
A low power and low cost driving circuit for a piezoelectrically actuated pump was designed and developed using a switch-mode IC inverter from Durel Corp. Power consumption of only a few miliwatts was achieved with a reasonable pumping rate. The circuit, consisting of only five external components and one IC chip, converts DC voltage to an asymmetrical quasi-rectangular waveform
