Abstract
A re-parameterization of a least squares algorithm proposed for identifying the parameters of 3D shear models is tested with non-processed data from instrumented buildings. The linear shear building models consider seismic excitation in two orthogonal directions and three degrees of freedom for each story. This new parameterization allows a very important reduction on the number of calculations involved. The performance of the method confirms the possibility of real-time 3D parameter recovering.
