Abstract
This paper presents the design of novel tunable dual-band filter with a compact mixed coupling scheme. The two passband can be tuned simultaneously with the absolute bandwidth of first passband invariable. Theoretical analysis indicates that it is able to achieve desired coupling coefficients between the proposed resonators. For demonstration, a tunable dual-band filter covering 1 GHz-1.35GHz and 2.5GHz-3.4GHz is implemented with 90 MHz constant absolute bandwidth of first passband. Experimental results agree with theoretical and simulated predications excellently.
