Abstract :
A nontraditional stator current limitation technique in a high-performance induction motor drive is proposed. The advantage of the method is the ability to control the phase of the stator current vector under the current limitation condition of the drive. Using this technique, it is possible to increase the quick-action of the drive in transient processes with significant changes in the magnitude of the motor flux. Experimental results and functional diagrams of the technique´s implementation are discussed
