Abstract :
Temperature control of an exothermic batch reaction using neural nets is studied here. The energy balance given by the prediction of neural-fuzzy net is used in the derivation of the control algorithm. The comparison with a classic controller indicates improvements in the control of these highly nonlinear batch and semibatch chemical processes
