  • Abstract
This paper numerically analyzes the effects of Stimulated Raman Scattering (SRS) and Cross Phase Modulation (XPM), on 2 Wavelength Division Multiplexed (WDM) channels allocated in the center band frequencies recommended by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU). Propagation is achieved along a Dispersion Shifted (DS) fiber at 10 Gbit/s. Analysis is conducted for different power levels, with different link lengths, and also under dispersion compensations schemes
