Meta-information Mechanism and Variable Precision Rough Set Model

Variable Precision Rough Set Model (VPRSM) is a famous extension of the rough set theory. In order to provide a suitable basis for implementation of many existing rough set methods in a distributed data environment, a meta-information mechanism is introduced. Since data integration is a costly process, meta-information integration is used instead. Many concepts of the VPRSM will be obtained from meta-information mechanism. Therefore, many existing methods of VPRSM can be implemented efficiently and effectively on the basis of meta-information, and take advantage of meta-information mechanism.
