Abstract :
We propose a hybrid optical amplifier utilizing two-stage configuration, a silica-based erbium doped fiber amplifier and a semiconductor optical amplifier. Hybrid optical amplifier have a gain excursion of less than 1 dB over the 27 nm (1534 nm-1561 nm) wavelength range, for the total input signal power of -10 dBm--15 dBm
