Abstract :
It is noted that utilities cannot provide a continuous, undistributed supply of electricity to sensitive electronic systems. These will occasionally fail without proper power conditioning. Services the utility can and cannot provide in terms of high quality power are identified. Techniques available to control power disturbances inside the plant are explored. It is noted that the uninterruptible power system can solve almost every power quality problem
