Abstract :
Doppler-free saturated absorption features of the P(33)6-3 transition of /sup 127/I/sub 2/ at 633 nm have been resolved with extended cavity diode lasers. The optical frequencies of the hyperfine transitions have been measured using an iodine-stabilized 633 nm He-Ne laser. The extended cavity diode lasers used both intra-cavity and extra-cavity absorption cells. Allan-variance data and reproducibility measurements are reported.
