Abstract
In through-the-wall radar imaging, ambiguities in wall parameters smear and defocus the image, and also shift imaged target positions. Based on imaging by using at least two assumed dielectric constants, a new approach for wall parameters estimation is proposed. For each assumed dielectric constant, a linear trajectory is fitted for the set of target images with different assumed wall thicknesses via Radon transform. The intersection of these trajectories corresponding to different assumed dielectric constants is taken as the estimated target position. Finally, the estimations of wall thickness and dielectric constant are found by using the estimated target position, which are applied to generate high quality image.
