Abstract :
In the practical application of through-wall-radar imaging, propagation attenuation of electromagnetic wave in wall, heavy clutter in indoor environment and image defocusing with ambiguities of wall parameters reduce the signal-to-clutter ratio of image, which makes it difficult to properly interpret the radar image. In this paper, we consider multi-channel through-wall-radar imaging based on image fusion for combining the single-channel images to obtain a high signal-to-clutter ratio image. Each single-channel image is independently formed by back-projection imaging algorithm. The experiment results are provided to demonstrate the improved performance of the multiple channel scheme compared with the operation from single channel.
