  • Abstract
    A new soft switched boost PFC Converter is developed with a new passive snubber cell. The proposed circuit topology consists of single switch boost PFC and passive snubber composed of an auxiliary capacitor, an inductor and two diodes. The proposed converter provides zero voltage transition turn ON and zero current transition turn OFF for the main switch with no any additional current or voltage stress. In this paper the converter and its mode of operations are talked about and the proposed converter power factor is accomplished as 0.94 and total current harmonic distortion reduced considerably. The proposed PFC converter was 700W / 100KHZ Simulated by MATLAB / SIMULINK.
