Abstract
Power penalties produced by interferometric noise have been theoretically and experimentally investigated at 2.48 Gbps. The limitations of the Gaussian probability density function for Bit-Error-Rate (BER) calculations are presented. Numerical simulations of multiple convolutions are compared with the experimental results
