Abstract :
A hybrid fast restoration scheme for high-speed laser networks is introduced. Distributed restoration is achieved by a special restoration strategy, "local recovery for local failure". Implementation over the OSPF protocol is presented, which consists of preplanned and real-time scenarios. Recovery time is also given. Simulation results over a typical network structure show that we could achieve a full recovery of a single-link failure, 99.16% recovery of single-node failure, as well as 96.64% recovery of double-link failure.
