Abstract :
The problem of surface electromagnetic waves (SEW) excitation by finite size grating was studied theoretically. It was shown that in conditions of SEW launching the pressed waves (near surface bulk waves) generated on the smooth part of metal surface which is in conjunction with earlier experimental observations
