  • Abstract
Today many applications are developed using Service Oriented Architecture. In this architectural style the business logic is defined as a set of components which can be invoked, and whose interface descriptions can be published and discovered. Each component in the business logic is exposed as services. A service contains a set of operations to achieve a common goal. A service needs an infrastructure to expose itself to the consumers. These services are exposed through web servers, demon processes or operating system services. The main goal here is to keep the business logic reusable as possible and consumer independent. Other important goals include simplified maintenance, simplified development and testing cycles. The testing of Services is one of most important and time consuming part of the development process. In this paper we mainly discuss the problems associated with testing the services, a complete solution for simplifying the testing process for services, the challenges that were involved in building the solution.
