Abstract :
The focuseek searchbox is an innovative content gathering platform used by the AXMEDIS [1,3] project to gather and index multimedia contents coming from remote providers. In this article we discuss an in progress development of searchbox that uses the opportunity of the GRID technology to improve performances in distributed environments.
