Abstract :
We propose a radar constant false alarm rate (CFAR) processing and design scheme for hybrid Weibull and lognormal distributed clutters. To achieve cost-efficient design in such an environment, we identify the CFAR processing components of both distributed clutters in the log-domain for the collected data samples. Fast decision-making can be obtained due to avoiding the time-consuming iterative computation of the conventional maximum-likelihood method, without degrading the decision performance. The testing of simulated clutter data shows that the proposed practical method is effective and promising.
