  • Abstract
    The electromagnetic (EM) property inversion for runways structure is studied in this paper. Based on the common system identification method, the propagation model of EM wave in the multilayer media and the echo time delay estimation method are improved. In the new propagation model, the relationship among the image part of permittity, conductivity and frequency is considered. In addition, WRELAX is introduced to estimate the time delay of the echoes which is used for EM properties and depth measurements of media layer. The experiments demonstrate that the new method has better precision compared with the common system identification method.
